Obituary of George Del Valle

George Del Valle, 82 of South Orange, formerly of Jersey City passed away on February 17, 2024 at his residence.
Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ on Thursday February 22nd from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Friday, February 23rd at 10:00 AM. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.
George Del Valle, born on October 19, 1941, in Santiago, Chile, embarked on his final journey peacefully on February 17, 2024, at his home in South Orange, New Jersey. He was a man of remarkable courage, unwavering dedication, and boundless love.
George’s life was defined by his relentless pursuit of a better life for himself and his family. Leaving behind the comforts of his homeland, he ventured to the United States, driven by a vision of opportunity and hope. For 20 years, George served as a dedicated employee of UPS, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance.
Beyond his professional endeavors, George possessed a deep love for Italy and a passion for collecting antiques. His appreciation for the beauty of Italian culture and craftsmanship enriched his life and inspired those around him.
George’s legacy is woven into the lives of those he leaves behind. His beloved girlfriend of over 60 years, Grace Daddario, whose unwavering love and companionship brought him immeasurable joy.
He is pre deceased by parents Raul Del Valle and Lidia Del Valle. He leaves behind siblings Lidia Arriagada, Luis Del Valle, Rosa Del Valle Mohamed and Boris Del Valle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As we bid farewell to George, let us celebrate his life, his resilience, and his enduring love. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and memories he leaves behind.
