Obituary of Joseph Zuzuro III

   Joseph Zuzuro (Joe), 64 passed away February 19^th, 2024, peacefully at his home in Madison, N.J., surrounded by his loving family.

   Joseph, affectionately known as “Joey”, was born October 9^th, 1959, in Orange, N.J. He was a lifelong resident of South Orange, N.J. before moving to Madison 20 years ago. Joey graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, N.J. and was a member of the wrestling team.

   Joe was the owner and operator of J. Zuzuro Landscaping and Design for over 42 years before retiring in 2022. He was an associate member of the Savoia Italian Club in South Orange. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends at Rose City Transmission in Madison and hanging out with his family and friends at The South Orange Public Works Department. Joey loved spending his summers down the New Jersey shore since he was a young boy. He loved the cheesesteak sandwiches on the boardwalk, relaxing on the beach, and the fireworks on the Fourth of July.

   Family was always number one to Joey and he loved sharing his Italian family traditions with everyone he knew. He was known for making an amazing cold antipasto salad. Joey was a man who touched so many lives in so many ways and will always be remembered by his family and friends for his infectious smile and for being a diehard Giants fan. Joey always expressed that his greatest achievement in life was raising his son, Michael, and he could not have been prouder the day he became a Grandfather to Daniel. Joey lovingly would exaggerate the word “Grandpa” making his grandson smile and laugh daily.

   Joseph is the beloved son of the late Joseph Zuzuro Jr. of Madison formally of South Orange. Joseph leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, Patricia Pangallo of Madison N.J., his beloved Mother, Rose Marie (Ippolito) Zuzuro of Florham Park, N.J. formerly of South Orange, a dear son, Michael Joseph Zuzuro (Kellianne) of Succasunna, N.J., sisters Mary Ann (Zuzuro) Wieworski (James) of Toms River, N.J., Marie (Zuzuro) Lentz (Norman) of Sayreville  N.J., Catherine Zuzuro of Florham Park, N.J., and Susan Zuzuro of Florham Park, N.J.

   He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew so dear to his heart, Jennifer (Katz) Caicedo, Antonio Pasquale Zuzuro, his Goddaughter Angelina Josephine Zuzuro, great-niece EvaMarie Caicedo, his great-Aunt Rose Mercadante,and his grandson Daniel Michael Zuzuro.
