Obituary of Virginia Michels- Auth

Virginia Michels-Auth, age 80, of Maplewood, died Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Overlook Hospital of Summit, NJ.

The family will receive friends at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Friday, March 22 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM followed by a prayer service at 3:00 PM. Interment is private.

Ginny is survived by her husband George E. Auth, her sons Walter Michels (Jackie) and Raymond Michels (Andrea), and her two grandchildren Sophia and Andrew Michels. She was predeceased by her first husband Walter J. Michels, and her parents John and Eleanor Romanchick.

Ginny was born in Irvington and lived in Maplewood for more than 50 years. She was a Middle School Teacher for the Irvington Board of Education, and was a Slot Jockey in Atlantic City in her free time. She cherished her annual family vacations to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida, and loved sharing meals and conversation with her family.
