Obituary of Kevin D. Hewitt

Kevin Hewitt a.k.a Benji was born in Newark, NJ on 11/06/1997 to proud parents Patulia Pascall and Desmond Hewitt. Kevin graduated in 2016 from East Orange Campus High School and then he attended Lincoln Technical Institute in 2017, where he obtained his electrical certification. Kevin worked as an electrician for Corporate Essentials of Parsippany, NJ until the time of his passing. Kevin was known to so many as “Benji.”  Benji was a nickname he acquired because of his love of wanting to be a rapper. At the time of his passing, Kevin lived with his mother, Patulia, his stepdad, Ricardo, his brother Kelson, his sisters Sherri-ann and Kayla and his beloved doggy Kane.

Kevin is survived by a very large loving family and his friends. His grandmother Cynthia, and his step grandfather Clearance. His uncles, Roy, Steve, Erwin, Paul, Randy, Kelly, Naman, Junior, Carl, Gideon, and Steve. His aunts, Gail, Kegyan, Rose, Ann Marie, Rosalie, June, Gloria, Paulina, and Cecelia. His sister Amariah and brothers Caelan and Brandon.

His 100 plus cousins, so they are too many to list, but he grew up with and was closer to Angel, Eshown, Kaessan, Kisha, and Jermaine. His many friends, that are all sadden by his passing. 

Kevin was also the grandson of the late Esther, Ignatius and Fitzgerald.

Kevin lived his life to the fullest, he loved his family, his friends, his doggy, and his cars.

Kevin will be missed by all.

We are grateful to have had Kevin for the last 26 years. Our lives are changed by his passing, but we do not question GOD. God knows best. As we mourn the loss of Kevin, let us remember the great memories we all had with Kevin.

May His Soul Rest in Peace until we meet again.
