Obituary of Victor Coless

Victor M. Coless, 65, of Lewiston, NY, formerly of Maplewood, NJ, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 17, 2024.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St Maplewood, NJ on Tuesday, July 30th at 10:00 - 11:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 and interment to follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit.

Victor was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Maplewood, NJ before moving to Lewiston in 1975. He received his high school degree from Lewiston Porter High School and his undergraduate degree from Buffalo State University. In his spare time, Victor enjoyed woodworking. At Christmastime, family and friends looked forward to receiving the crafted wood items as gifts.  He will also be remembered for having his loyal canine companions, Barney and Trixie, at his side.

Victor was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Joan Stankiewicz Coless, his brother Lt. Thomas M. Coless, USN and  his nephew Daniel Coless.

He is survived by his brother David Coless (Elisa), sister in-law Ellen Coless, niece Katherine Stochlinski (Steve), nephew Kevin Coless, great nephew Benjamin Stochlinski, and many cousins.
