Benjamin A Troncone, age 78, of Maplewood passed away Monday, September 23, 2024.

Ben was born and raised in South Orange before moving to Maplewood in 1971. He served as Military Police for the US Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Ben was employed by the US Post Office in South Orange as a Letter Carrier for 42 years. He also worked for the South Orange Recreation Department part time for 50 years.

More than anything Ben enjoyed time with his family. He was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. One of his favorite hobbies was gardening and was so proud of growing his tomatoes. Ben loved taking pictures and videotaping family memories. Among his favorite past times was spending time in Seaside Park NJ-lying on the beach, playing games on the boardwalk, and going fishing and crabbing in the bay. He loved going to Atlantic City to play those slot machines. Most of all he loved vacationing to Aruba and Disney World.  Ben was always telling jokes and making people laugh.  His goal was to put a smile on everyone’s face.

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Brozon) Troncone married for 55 years, and three daughters: Adrienne Stark (Brian), Nicole D’Alessandro (Michael), and Emily Inciong (Vincent), his brothers, Robert and Richard Troncone, and four grandchildren: Alexander, Kevin, Jonathan, and Rebecca. Also survived by two step grandchildren: Nicholas and Lillian and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
