Sincere condolences to Noreen and all the Cryan Family on the sad passing of Jimmy. Jimmy always had a smile and such a friendly welcome every time we visited his premises on our visits with the Castlerea Brass and Reed Band. He was so hospitable always. And he always came to our hotel to see us off when we were returning home. These things one never forgets. May he rest in perfect peace.

For 38 years Cryans has been the place to go for my family and I. Met John cryan at that time. So many, many memories. Jimmy became a fixture for a long time. Loved him and his off cuff humor. So sorry for you Nor, and the rest of the family. He will always be with you all.

What a gift it was to have Jimmy Cryan among us...restaurant owner, community member, benefactor, Irish vanguard, and most of all...friend. Jimmy was literally born into public life and he embraced fully the responsibilities that carried. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and more to his dear family. And he became "family" to so many of our clans- our host, guest, friend and fellow mourner when we lost loved ones.
May the Lord welcome Jimmy Cryan into eternal life...he will make even Heaven a finer place to bide. And for those of us blessed to join him one day- we know he'll be pouring the first pint!
Godspeed, old friend...

Our family is so sad to hear of Jimmy’s passing. I have many great memories of growing up with Jimmy - teaching me to ride a bicycle, riding mopeds together, and working the coat room with him at the Cryan dance. I remember late night at Kevin’s the night Seton Hall lost the men’s final basketball game and Jimmy and Noreen were dancing alone to the song “Build me up buttercup.” What times we had! Rest easy Cousin.
Love, Chuck and Heidi Cryan
