Obituary of Silvere Champagne

Silvere Champagne was born July 24, 1938 to Philippe & Francoise Champagne July 24, 1938 in Baie-de-Henne, He grew up in Haiti and later moved to New Jersey (US) in 1981.

He laid roots in Elizabeth, NJ where he met and married Marie Jean-Charles. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. He was an advocate for education and always told us to “get an education because education is a key to success”. We are forever grateful for his advice. He was a private man of high integrity.

At the age of 86, Silvere Champagne died Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Michael's Medical Center of Newark, NJ.

He is survived by his wife: Marie (Jean-Charles) Champagne, three daughters: Mikaelle Hyppolite, Loudsie Champagne and Sherley Champagne, and three sons: Georges Champagne, Widmarck Champagne and Roudy Champagne. He was predeceased by his son Wolvonsky Champagne.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 23^rd from 9-10:00am at Holy Spirit and Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 17 N. Clinton Street, East Orange, NJ.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 am. Entombment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Union.
