Dear Lark -
I was so sad to learn of you mother's passing, and that her last months were so difficult. She always seemed indomitable. What a great loss for all of you.
Anyone who knew her respected her wit, intelligence and strength. She packed so much much into her life, and always continued to grow. I remember when she became a teacher, and I would be amazed at her commitment to sharing the gifts of her experience and perspective to her students.
I moved to Massachusetts an number of years ago, and lost touch with Sandra, but followed her on Facebook, and up until the very end she was sharing her commitment to her beliefs.
I will carry with me the memory of a vital and energetic Sandra, brimming with passion.
My condolences to all of you.
