Helen M. Buttros, 91, of Maplewood, NJ

Helen M. Buttros, 91, a longtime resident of Maplewood, NJ, passed away University Hospital on Dec 11, 2024. Born in Newark, NJ, she had called Maplewood home since 1964.

Helen worked as a dedicated head bank teller for Maplewood Bank & Trust, which later became Bank of America. She was known for her kind and patient demeanor, touching the lives of many in her community.

Helen is survived by her two loving sons, Michael Buttros and James K. Buttros; three cherished grandchildren, Michael Buttros Jr., Kristen Buttros, and James T. Buttros; and five adored great-grandchildren. She was the beloved sister of Joseph Raymond, Dolores Lawrence and Joanne Janish and is predeceased by her brother, James Raymond.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 20th, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, NJ.

Helen's warmth, generosity, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
