Obituary of Robert J. Schaedel

Robert J. Schaedel, 78, of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2024.

Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan 5^th from 2 – 5 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange, NJ, on Monday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.

Robert was born and raised in Newark, NJ, before graduating from Youngstown State University in Ohio. He settled in Orlando, FL, where he raised his family and enjoyed a long and successful career in the hospitality industry, serving as a Hotel Executive for over 30 years before retiring as a business owner in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Schaedel, and his children, Julie C. D’Italia, Robert J. Schaedel Jr., and Michael C. Schaedel. He also leaves behind his siblings, Marybeth Schaedel and Joe Schaedel, and his six cherished grandchildren. Proceeded in death by Charles T. Schaedel, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Schaedel, Richard Schaedel and Charles T. Schaedel Jr.
