Our deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Woody. She was my son's 5th grade teacher. He really loved her and she made a huge impression on him. I was looking her up to tell her than you for being such a good teacher when I found this obituary. I wanted her to know that my son Abe was going on to get his PHD. Thank you for all you did to inspire children to learn Dr. Woody. May you rest in peace.

To the family, May your good memories of Saundra bring you peace in knowing that she will always be in your hearts. Saundra and I were friend and travel companions since1999.
She had a passion for travel and together we took many cruises, visited different countries and resorts. She was like the sister I never had. I will truely miss her.

There was no one like Dr. Woody. We knew her first as a teacher of our daughter Kimberly. Later I knew her when I was President of the Montclair Board of Education, and still later when we attended services and programs at Christ Church. Blessed to have known her.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. As we have previously noted, the Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. ‘But surely that is wishful thinking!’ for some may say. For words of encouragement please go to JW.org
Sincerely,
Roberta

Dr. Woody and I were colleagues in the Montclair Public Schools. Well done, good and faithful servant who now rests from her labors. Rest eternal grant to your servant Saundra, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, now rest in peace and rise in Glory. Amen.

Dr. Woody was my 5th grade teacher. I still think about her all the time. She was endlessly supportive of me during a time when I really needed someone to help challenge me to grow academically. She would stay with me at lunchtime teaching me to recite Maya Angelou's poems and really FEEL them, just because she could tell I was in love with her poetry. She also inspired in me a love of words in general that lasts til this day -- and was kind enough to overlook all the reading I did in my desk. Thank you Dr. Woody for nurturing me and seeing the best in me. I am so lucky to have known you.
