ROMAINE F. DAVIE, 57, SCHOOL TEACHER Romaine F. Davie, 57, who was born in Trenton, NJ in 1948, passed away peacefully at home in South Orange, NJ on March 10, 2006 after a long battle with colon cancer. She was a graduate of Ewing High School, Ewing Township NJ and Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois where she received her Bachelors Degree in Political Science. At Bradley she was a charter member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She moved to Palo Alto, California where she married and lived for twenty years. While residing in California she worked for Stanford Research Institute (SRI), Menlo Park, CA as a Research Analyst from 1970 to 1980. In 1979 she received her Master in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. She worked as a project manager in aerospace at Lockheed Corporation Sunnyvale, CA from 1980 to 1992. She and her family relocated to New Jersey in 1992 where Romaine was employed in telecommunication, AT & T, Bell Atlantic and Telcordia. After leaving telecommunications in 2000, she made a career change and found her calling in education. First as a substitute teacher in Essex County and later accepting a permanent position at Lady Liberty Charter School, Newark, NJ where she taught third graders. She enjoyed camping, the ocean, traveling, ocean cruises, eating at fine restaurants, dancing, and California sunsets. She received numerous awards and certificates in her endeavors. Romaine Davie, the wife, companion, mother, sister, teacher, and friend, will be sorely missed by all those who knew her best. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Michael, three children, Tiffinni, Michael and Kevin all of South Orange as well as her parents mother , Paula, of Atlanta, GA, father Francis (Buddy), Lawrenceville, NJ, brother Keith Lee, New Brunswick and sisters Brenda Lee of Trenton And Kim Lee-Wilkins, Germantown, MD, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
