Obituary of Imelda J. Donnelly

DONNELLY - Imelda J. (nee Heery), 88 years old, died at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank, N.J., July 18, 2006. Born in Newark, formerly of Millburn, N.J., and Smith's Parish, Bermuda, Mrs. Donnelly is predeceased in 1974 by her husband, Frank G. Donnelly, president of Donnelly Bros. Inc. Agy., Newark, and Millburn. She is survived by four children, Mary Jane Semcer of Far Hills, N.J., James P. Donnelly of Short Hills, N.J., Elizabeth A. Christian of Neptune City, N.J., and Frank Donnelly of Olyphant, Pa., as well as her brother, Urban J. Heery of Whiting, N.J., the grandmother of 16, her 26th greatgrandchild is expected in Aug. 2006. Mrs. Donnelly was a talented artist and writer whose written works addressed her greater passion. Bermuda history and its connection to the early American colonies. A graduate of Columbia H.S., she is also a former member of the Maplewood and Canoe Brook Country Clubs. Private services for the family were arranged by JACOB A. HOLLE FUNERAL HOME, Maplewood, and included the celebration of Holy Mass by Rev. Gerald Greaves at St. Raphael's Parish, Livingston, N.J.
