Peter Paredes a resident of Maplewood formerly of Newark passed away on Friday, Sept 1, 2006 at St. Barnabas Hospital. He was being treated as a cancer patient. Mr. Paredes was born in Havana Cuba on Oct 16, 1945. He spent most of his life in Newark. His parents, Naomi and Antonio Paredes are both deceased. He served in the Armed Forces from 1967- 1969 and was stationed with the Army in Alaska. He attended Rutgers University, Newark from 1973-1975. He worked for Social Security Administration in Hoboken, NJ for 26 years and retired this year. Mr. Paredes was a world traveler. He leaves behind his life partner, Thomas C. Santarsiero, two nephews Kent Emmett Klymenko and Dylan Klymenko of Short Hills, a cousin Mytei Dominguez and her sons John and J.C. of Harrison, his sister Nellie Valladares and a nephew George Valladares living in Florida along with other relatives. He was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Wednesday 7 – 9 PM. His Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Sorrows Church 216 Prospect St, South Orange on Thursday, Sept 7th at 9:30 AM.
