you do notknow me, but I just wanted to offer my sincerest condolences to your family.
I truely know how hard it is when you loss a child, I lost my little 11 year old girl roughly 9 weeks ago.
I know the pain you are feeling and no words will make you feel better, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Please seek help for your family it has helped us somewhat, but nothing replaces the void.
Please know as the days go forward and you get angry as others go on with thier lives; that is normal for the anger.
Also please don't punish yourselves if you find a smile on your face one day.
We felt we were dishonoring our daughter if we laughed or enjoyed ourselves somewhat.
I come to realize that is not the case as I hope you will to.
Again I am so sorry for your loss and please try to carry on in her honor as you know she would like you all to be happy.

It was a privledge and an honor to be Collen's Child Life Specialist. She was so much to have in the playroom and always kept me busy. She was a unique individual and will be missed by all on 6T and at the Childrens Hospital of NY. You are all in my thoughts and prayers

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hamm,
Though we haven't yet met, my heart breaks for you at the loss of your lovely, brave daughter. I know a little about the illness she lived with -- "sixty-five roses" as the littlest ones call it -- and will contribute to finding a cure.
Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Colleen lives on in you.
With deepest sympathy,
Rosanne Luzarraga

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Hamm,
We don't know each other, but I want to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the death of your daughter Colleen. I met Colleen this past summer when she worked as a nurse extern at St. Barnabas Medical Center. I am one of the nurses in the NICU and was shadowed by Colleen at the very beginning of her externship. I know that you already know she was a remarkable young lady, but when I learned at work yesterday that she had passed away, I felt I must tell you that people you don't even know could see that also. I remember coming home from work and telling my own daughter who just graduated high school how impressed I was with Colleen. She asked very intelligent questions, and it was easy to see that she was very interested in learning all that she could. She was also always willing to help, and we appreciated that.
I will keep your family in my prayers, and again my deepest sympathy to you. Sincerely, Laura Etzel, R.N.

I fondly remember Colleen as a vivacious young lady-even in 4th grade when I met her, while working in her class. I saw her many times since then-usually at the Wyoming Strawberry Festival. We always chatted and caught up-and I enjoyed our conversations. I will sorely miss seeing her smiling face this year and ever after.
My sincerest and deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of this special young woman.
Respectfully,
Rene Slater

I visited your house in Jersey 2 summers ago, and then met you and Coll in NYC a few months later.... It's been a while, but I'm hoping you might remember me...
A friend and I were just talking about her on the CF forum, and the friend asked how she was. I said I hadn't heard from her in a while, but last I checked she was okay. So I googled her, and found nothing. I googled her and "obituary" and there it was. For one, I'm sorry I didn't know sooner. We hadn't talked much in the last year, so when I hadn't heard from her, I just figured she was around somewhere. I know it's no good now, but I am sorry to hear it. I'm trying to find an adjective to tell you how "special" she was, but nothing fits. You know anyways. I have a picture of us on my desktop. I don't know if you care or want it, but if you do, you can email me.
I'm really sorry. I just wanted to say as much. She was a good friend to me.
