DI RISIO Alfred T. DiRisio Co-owned Millburn restaurant Maplewood resident, 88 Alfred T. DiRisio, 88, of Maplewood died on Jan. 8, 2007. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Friday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in New York, N.Y., DiRisio was a longtime resident of Maplewood. He was a co-owner and operator of Christophers Restaurant in Millburn from 1950 until 1980. Mr. DiRisio also worked at the Bagel Chateau in Millburn for several years. Mr. DiRisio served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Husband to the late Ursula Bowie DiRisio, he was the step-father to Lauren D. and Ursula B. Lanigan, and brother to Valare DiRisio, Betty Calabro and the late Eleanor Landisi, Arthur and Frank DiRisio. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
