Cataldo Tony Cocuzza, 80, of Maplewood died on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, in Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Monday, Feb. 26, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, visit prestonfuneralhome.net. Born in Newark, Mr. Cocuzza lived in Maplewood for 51 years. He was a marketing executive for Bristol-Myers in New York City from 1954 to 1988, when he retired. Mr. Cocuzza received a B.A. in business administration in 1951 from Upsala College. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1944 to 1946 as a staff sergeant in the 13th Tank Battalion in Europe. Mr. Cocuzza was a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, and also editor of the Our Lady of Sorrows annual report. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Gatto Cocuzza; devoted father of Charles Cocuzza and his wife, Mary, Grace Zambelli and her husband, Mike, Candie Hengemuhle and her husband, Mark, Frank Cocuzza and his wife, Jeanne, Gerard Cocuzza and his wife, Pam, Barbie Kirner and her husband, Tom, and John Cocuzza and his wife, Kathi; loving brother of Geraldine Ciccone, and is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
