Mrs. Helen Hayden Keegan, 101, of Millburn died on Thursday, March 29, 2007, in the King James Nursing Home, Chatham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Monday, April 2, at 9 a.m., thence to St. Rose of Lima Church, Short Hills, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment is at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. For more information or to send condolences please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Newark, Mrs. Keegan lived in Millburn for 46 years. She was a chief operator for N.J. Bell Telephone, where she worked from 1925 until she retired in 1955. Mrs. Keegan was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Ladies Auxiliary, the Lifelighters of St. Rose of Lima Church and the Friday Friends of Millburn, and a 30-year member of the Millburn-Short Hills Red Cross. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Keegan; dear sister of Katherine Peters, and loving aunt of Betty Mae Osborn, William Osborn, Carolann Vitolo and John Peters. She is also survived by five grand-nieces. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Millburn-Short Hills First Aid Squad, 188 Glen Ave., Millburn, N.J. 07041, or the American Red Cross, 389 Millburn Ave., Millburn, N.J. 07041, would be appreciated.
