Dear Mrs. Dee, My wife Joan and I were so sorry to learn about Johnny's passing. We send our deep sympathy to you and your family. We were the owners of Kings Super Markets until 1988 when we sold the company. Many of our service club and dinner dances and other company affairs were held at the Chanticlair as were many of our family celebrations and events throughout the years. So we got to know Johnny well and admire him very much both for the wonderful job he did as the owner of the Chanticlair and for his humanity and the way he reached out to so many others. I was fortunate to work for Jonny for several years, about fifty years ago, in the Banquet Office ay yhe Essex House. I often tell my children about what a wonderful job I had and what a wonderful boss Jonny was. He was always, smiling and caring, and a true gentleman. He shall truly be missed. First let me offer my condolences to the family of Johnny. I knew him as Uncle Johnny. He was my grandfather's brother (Dominic) God Bless all of you. ps(Johnny's mother's name was Isabella, not Elizabeth. She was my Great Grandmother)
