Mrs. Olga Tsirikos Muntz, 86, a lifelong resident of Newark, died on Monday, July 30, 2007, at a friends home in Bloomfield. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Friday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. Interment is at Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden. Mrs. Muntz was a factory worker for Bright Boy Abrasives, Newark, from 1950 to 1983, before retiring. She worked for Westinghouse Corp., Newark, during World War II, after graduating from Central High School, Newark, just before the war. She enjoyed popular music like Frank Sinatra and Perry Como, and was an avid baseball fan since the days of the baseball New York Giants. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and with her dear companion, Andrew Murtz.
She was the beloved wife of the late Orville Muntz; devoted mother of William Dunsavage and Yvonne Epstein; dear sister of Susan Georges and Nicholas Tsirikos; loving grandmother of Melina Flanagan, Danielle and Dyna Lynn Epstein; great-grandmother of Gabriel Ignacio Flanagan.
