Rosie and I were at Alpha Commercial College together in 1977. She lived in Pembroke Hall and I Lived in Duhaney Park. We kept in touch over the years until she migrated. We used to speak via telephone while she was at Cool Petroleum and I was employed to Cable and Wireless Jamaica. My son and her daughter both attended Holy Childhood Prep. I'm gonna miss the phone calls and the occassional buck up meetings that we had. Your smile was infectious but you are now at peace with the angels in the heavenly choir. Until the day when we will meet again. Rest In Peace my friend.

It is always those who love the most
Who most miss the one they love
When comes the parting of the ways,
And clouds loom dark above
But tears will pass, your skies will clear
And comfort find in memories,
Which now bring bitter pain.
Rose executed her job in a very professional manner. Rosie was a family person. Her family was her heart string, and so whenever she had any issues, needed medical advice, reasons to celebrate or mourn it was always her family she turned to first. So it was not surprising that during the six months of her sickness it was her family who nursed and cared for her.
We are here to celebrate her life not to grieve her death. Let us all think back and reflect on how Rosie touched our lives and how good she was as a person. This is not the moment for us to shed our tears, but be thankful that we were given the chance to have known her.
