Obituary of Madeline H. Jarvis

Madeline Hanna Jarvis, 101, of New Providence died on Nov. 8, 2007, in Overlook Hospital, Summit. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Spring. Arrangements by The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, (jacobhollefuneralhome.com). Born in Paterson, Mrs. Jarvis lived in Millburn before moving to New Providence 20 years ago. She was a secretary for 12 years, from 1965 to 1977, at Clara Hires, Millburn, before retiring. She also worked as a legal secretary for Gordon & Kaengise Law Firm in Springfield from 1950 until 1965. She was a member of the New Providence Senior Citizens, a former Cub Scout den mother in Millburn and a former member of the Wyoming Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Jarvis was the beloved mother of Percy A. Skip Jarvis.
