I am sorry to hear of Madeline’s passing. We were both members of the OLS graduation class of 1958. As classmates for 8 years, I remember her as very bright, and she was always very kind to me. My late condolences to her family and many friends.

I thank God that I was blessed with such a loving and caring grandmother. You showed me unconditional love, compassion, and understanding. You had such a tremendous impact on so many people, and I pray that I have just some of your wonderful qualities. Your house was my second home growing up and I think of you as a second mother. We shared laughs and many fond memories. I know you will watch over me in heaven as you did on earth. Everyone misses you, but I am sure that God has a special place for you. P.S. I still don't think Grandpa knows about shampoo because all I saw in his shower was soap. Peace and Love.

Dear Madde- I will miss your great smile and personality at the family parties. You brought the life to our parties. We were very blessed to have you. I will pray for you to be in peace with Jesus. Jesus is very lucky to have a special Angel join him. It may not be very peaceful though because you and my Mom will have alot to talk about up there. You will be very much missed. I will remember you always.
May you rest in Peace.

"Who can turn the world on with her smile?" ...and that infectious laugh! Madde, you made us all feel at ease. Getting together with you I had no doubt I was the only person you'd hoped to see that day. You were a people-magnet; no wonder little children loved you. With this I send my love and prayers for Jim and the beautiful family you shared together, as well as Midge and Tommy and their lovely family.
Love, Betsy Donnelly-Christian

How blessed have we all been to have Medelaine in our lives - for a short time or many years. Her courage and strength were amazing - not many could have taken on the Pierson clan, and then survived - no matter how in love they were! Mr. P - I hope you can find strength in the many years of love she gave you. She will definitely be keeping an eye on you from above. We will all miss her.
Love to all - Cathy

To the Pierson Family and Friends --
My sincerest condolences on the loss of Madelaine. While I had not had much interaction with her for many years, she and Midge used to walk me to school at Our Lady of Sorrows when we all lived on Ward Place in South Orange way back in the 1950's.
She was a fine woman and person. The world is lucky to have known her and it is all the better because of her and her many efforts. She will be in my thoughts and prayers as will you all.

Dear Grandma,
It's weird that you're gone. Me and the rest of the 'piersonian institute' were so lucky to have you in our lives. I remember how you made me feel so special when you told me how much you loved me. You would always tell me and Mimi how beautiful and wonderful we were--and we certainly believed you. I will miss your laugh, your smile, and your uncanny ability to cry at anything. Everytime I smell that Shalimer perfume or drink a bloody mary I will think of you and I know you'll be smiling down at me in Heaven. I love you. I'm lucky to have such a great guardian angel up there.

Madelaine was my 6th grade teacher at St. Rose of Lima in Short Hills. I just read her obituary. What a full and wonderful life she had. I remember writing Brian while he was serving in Vietnam and his tragic death. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Our Lord Jesus has taken her hand and has led her home.
