Edward Yablonicky, 87, of Annandale died on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Relatives and friends are invited to attend St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, where a Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, Nov. 24, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Jersey City, Edward lived in Newark and Maplewood for 40 years before moving to Annandale three-and-a-half months ago. He was a job setter for Western Electric in Kearny, where he worked from 1942 to 1966 when he retired. Edward was a member of St Joseph's Church, Maplewood, and its Rainbow Club. He was a life member of Sokols Lodge 75 in Jersey City and the Union Elks Club, a member of the Senior II in Maplewood and the Knights of Columbus Council 4066 in Maplewood where he was named "Knight of the Year " from 1999 to 2000.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Irene Martiak Yablonicky, and three daughters, Joyce Paciga and her husband, John, Patti Lake and her husband, Jack and Carol Sokol and her fiance, Don Marvel. He was the dear grandfather of Sharon Linsenmeyer and her husband, George, John Paciga and his wife, Joan, Andrew and Julie Sokol, Tricia Lake and Tracy Balazik and her husband, Kevin. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, George and Jesse Linsenmeyer, John and Jill Paciga and Samantha Balazik.
