Obituary of John B. Lauria

John B. Lauria of Toms River died on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Rd., Short HIlls, on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 11:15 a.m. Interment is private. The family will receive friends at the Jacob A. Born in Newark, Mr. Lauria lived in Short Hills before moving to Toms River 12 years ago. He was an advertising executive with Gray Advertising in New York City for many years before retiring. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he was a musician in the Navy Band. Mr. Lauria was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Stanziale Lauria; devoted father of Christine Lauria-Sharpe and her husband, Frank. He is also survived by his loving dogs, Teddie, Mia and Sparky.
