Obituary of George L. Eng

George L. Eng, 90, of South Orange died June 24, 2009, at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Monday, June 29, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in East Ridgelawn Cemetery. Born in Toisan, China, Mr. Eng lived in Newark before moving to South Orange 40 years ago. He was an electronics technician with Thomas Electronics, Wayne, for 50 years, retiring in 1990. He also worked for Tung-Sol Electric, Bloomfield, in the 1940s. Mr. Eng was the beloved husband of Mee Hoo Wong Eng; devoted father of Janet Eng-Wong and her husband, Paul, Ronald Eng and his wife, Jane, Doris Chiang and her husband, Raymond, Nancy Eng Konchalski and her husband, Frank Jr., Brenda Bott and her husband, Charles, and the late Jane Hoff and her husband, Wendell; loving grandfather of Jesse, Rachel, Amber and Joshua Hoff, Christopher, Lisa and Tyler Eng-Wong, Jason De Passe, Lauren Yerk, Alison and Stephen Chiang, Michael and Brian Konchalski and Matthew Bott, and dear great-grandfather of Morgan and Mackenzie DePasse.
