What moves us is a silence, q quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good bye, but little by little we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
You were my friend, my sister, my counselor, and my partner in crime. You will be missed.

Aunty, you've been my big sister and mom since I knew myself. I'll never forget our trips to Barbados and Antigua, our outings to shows, and dances, and the looks you would give boys who wanted to dance with me at Carnival - LOL. So protective!
You were a very strong and opinionated black woman. I hope I take at least a fraction of this from you.
We love you and continue to pray for Francis and the kids.

Geraldine:
You and I had the opportunity to talk about God's endless possibilities. Though you faced monumental challenges your faith in God remained ever firm. Our conversations strengthened me at times when you were the one who needed to be strengthened. You called me family. You called me sister. Well my sister, I am fully persuaded that your joy is complete as you join the heavenly choir in joyful praise and worship in glory. "If I can see far it is because I stand on the shoulders of giants;" namely, yours Geraldine. Knowing you was a blessing. Rest in peace!
In loving memory,

You were always so eager to help others and that won't be forgotten. I know that if Keona and Nicole got a little of your strength they will be okay. It is so hard to say goodbye.

I can not believe that Geraldine is gone. I feel like she is going to call me. I would ask her "How are you doing?" Geraldine would always say "Not too bad."
We are so sorry for your lost. Geraldine was a wonderful person-strong, quiet, never negative. She never complained about her illness or how much pain she was in. Her children were her number one priority. I feel privileged to have known her and my life has been enriched by the experience.
