Obituary of Mary M. Barile

Mary M. Barile left peacefully for her eternal rest on Christmas night at the age of 90. Born in Newark, Mrs. Barile was a life long resident of the village of South Orange where she enjoyed living. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree as an adult and worked for the State of NJ in the Essex County Superior Court for 25 years. As a retiree she did much volunteer work both at Columbus Hospital and at Our Lady of Lourdes elementary school. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph and mother of Frank, Richard, Mary K. and Jenniann; grandmother and great grandmother. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces and her dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Propect St., South Orange on Tues, Dec 29th at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange on Mon 2:00 – 6:00 PM In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Barile's late granddaughter Catherine to: The Catherine Carroll Barile-Culhane Memorial Scholarship Fund at The Mustard Seed School, Hoboken, New Jersey (201 653-5548) or to her parish, Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange.
