Obituary of Paul Ribardo, Jr.

Paul Ribardo Jr., 97, of South Orange, N.J., passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012, in Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Thursday, May 31, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. For more information please visit www.prestonfuneralhome.net Mr. Ribardo was a civil engineer with PSE&G from 1947 to 1980 when he retired. He was a 1954 graduate of New York University, with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Mr. Ribardo was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society, Helping Hands and the Holy Name Society, all of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, where he was a past recipient of the Catholic Layman of the Year and the Ernie Cushing Awards. He was the beloved husband of Alice Mary Cunningham Ribardo; the devoted father of Paul F., Charles, James, Thomas, and John Ribardo and M. Katherine Shelffo; dear brother of Joseph Ribardo; loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent DePaul Society at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church would be appreciated.
