Obituary of Gordon R. Tomea

Gordon R. Tomea of Maplewood, N.J., died on Thursday, July 15, 2010. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Monday, July 19, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, N.J. Mr. Tomea graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in 1965 and worked as a civil engineer at the New York School Construction Authority. He was the beloved husband of Ann Rauch Tomea; devoted father of Christopher D. and Alexander M. Tomea; loving son of Helen Backes Plishka and the late Gordon R. Tomea, Jr.; stepson of Peter Plishka and dear half-brother of Richard, Edward, Gary, and Peter Plishka, Barbara Plishka Wojcik, Robert Plishka and the late Linda Plishka.
