Mary (Coll) Pierce, 85, of South Orange died on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, in Fellowship Village, Basking Ridge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information, please visit www.prestonfuneralhome.net Born in Newark, N.J., Mrs. Pierce lived in South Orange for 55 years. She was a senior library assistant at the South Orange Public Library from 1969 until retiring in 2008. Mrs. Pierce was a member of the Rosary Society at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond P. Pierce; devoted mother of Raymond P. Pierce Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, Thomas A. Pierce and his wife, Veanna, Joan M. Dodman and her husband, Michael, and Kathleen A. Desjourdy and her husband, Brian. "Nana" is survived by and was very involved in the lives of her 12 grandchildren and will be deeply missed by them all.
