I was first introduced to Danise by Trey in 1972. He knew he was in love with her back then. I met her again when she came to visit Orlando when my family lived there. My Ex Wife and I took to her immediately. We saw each other many times since then. Danise would call me to keep me up to date on whatever she and Trey were up to. She was a woman of great strength, in character, and ability. She was loved by many, and will be missed by many more. My condolences to Trey and the family, and to Danise, my love.

To The family of Danise:
Our children attended school together since the 90s. We met during those years and became fast friends. Our friendship grew into family. She was adopted into my sisterhood circle. Danise was strong, kind, generous, smart, and always caring. She put others before herself. She loved and cared for her family deeply, as I witness this constantly in the way she talked to them and demonstrated her love and kindness toward them and others.
No matter what she was doing, she always made time for everybody. Danise would stop me in the middle of a syllable to take a call from her beloved daughter, son, husband, mom-- that is how I remember her. She never groaned or complained. She was a selfless, beautiful person who lived her life on her terms.
My dear sister Danise, you will be missed, but I know you are in a much better place.

Goodbye, my friend ...
Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints, where pain and sorrow are no more, nor sighing, but life everlasting. You alone are immortal, Creator and Maker of humanity, and we are mortal, formed out of the earth, and unto to earth we shall return; for so you ordained when you created me, saying, "You are dust and to dust you shall return." We all go down to the dust, and over the grave we weep and make our song: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints, where pain and sorrow are no more, nor sighing, but life everlasting. Amen

TO: MR. TREY NELSON and FAMILY
ON behalf of our Local Pastor, officers and members of Ninth Tabernacle, Church of God and Saints of Christ, Brooklyn, NY, we extend to you our deepest sympathy on the passing of your loved one
MRS. DANISE NELSON
‘DANISE’ was one of GOD’s precious jewels and when her earthly house started to dissolve, GOD stepped in and gave her another building, a house not made with hands but eternal in the heavens.
IT is at a time such as this when you must lean on the LORD, and be of good courage, for He will strengthen thine heart. Trust in Him and lean not to your own understanding, but in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
Sorrowfully submitted,
Evangelist Joseph Turner, Local Pastor
and Members

To the familyof Denise Palmer-Nelson.
I offer my deepest symphathy on the loss of a dearly beloved human being, whom I called friend. I have known Ms.Palmer for twelve years via the telephone as we conducted business in servicing abused and neglected children through Angel Guardian and then Mercy First. We met in person in 2009, when Ms. Palmer came to my work location, as she told me, "I have to meet you." . We became friends, and I can honestly say that she was kind, caring, compassionate with a loving spirit. Ms.Palmer made me laugh, and always had an encouraging word for me. I will treasure our conversations and the wisdom of her words. Just knowing Ms. Palmer was a great gift.
In symphathy

Danise, thank you for the delicious tuna fish recipe. I remember when you came over to "241" - it was probably in 1967- you came into my room and woke me up (Cheryl was out)went into the kitchen and you showed me how you prepared your tuna fish. I continue to make it just like you and think about you every time I eat and prepare it. Thank you for also sharing Monique with me, Ellis and I were glad to help her when she was at VCU.
Love,
Ann
