Mrs. McEvoy always welcomed me into her home in Newark as one of her own. She will be surely missed.

May the family of Mrs. Joyce McEvoy find comfort in your loving memories, and in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34;18) Please rest your hope in His promise to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25;8) With deepest sympathy,

I had the pleasure of bringing communion or just saying prayers with Joyce ever other week at the nursing home. She was always so quiet but ever so appreciative for my visits. I express my sincere regrets of Joyce's passing to her family but I know she is now in a better place. May she now rest in peace!

We are deeply saddened to hear about the death of Mrs. McEvoy, or Auntie as many of us called her. She would do anything to help someone in need. Mrs. McEvoy was a kind and generous lady who in the early 80s took under her wings many of us young kids who had come to the US from Lebanon in search of higher education. Mrs. McEvoy will remain in our thoughts and prayers. We also offer our condolences to her son George and his family.
