Obituary of Rosetta Iodice Giuliano

Rosetta Iodice Giuliano, 85, of South Orange, N.J., passed on to glory on Saturday, Dec. 24, 201l, at home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Friday, Dec 30, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m.
Born in Newark, N.J., Mrs. Giuliano has resided in South Orange for 45 years. She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and Rosary Society for many years. She was a member and former president of Bayley Seton League at Seton Hall University, and also a member of the South Orange Garden Club and entered flower arrangements at many shows in New Jersey and Ohio, winning numerous blue ribbons. She had a keen interest in quilting and playing bridge. She belonged to the American Quilting Society and the Red Hat Society. Her social highlight was hosting her annual Christmas Teas at her home. She studied Spanish at Seton Hall University, Urban Division, and was employed as an interpreter for Tung-Sol in Newark until she married and became a full time homemaker.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Samuel, of nearly 60 years. She was the mother of four devoted daughters, Alice Giuliano, Nancy Durando and her husband, Jaime, Janice Giuliano and the late Elizabeth Magnes; her eight loving grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Jacqueline, Dillon, Julian, Adrienne, Veronica and Christian, and four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth, Gabriella and Giada. She was the dear sister of Daniel Iodice, Nicholas Iodice and the late Leonard Iodice, Grace Cuomo, Salvatore Iodice and Angelina Perretti.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Seton Hall University Scholarship Fund, 457 Centre St.t, South Orange, N.J. 07079 in memory of Rosetta I. Giuliano would be appreciated.
