Obituary of Norman W. Hickey

Norman W. Hickey, 87, of Short Hills died at home on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave, Short Hills on Wed, Oct 16th at 11:15 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Tuesday, 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Mr. Hickey was born in Cranford, NJ and has lived in Short Hills since 1967. He was a vice president with Royal Insurance Co, New York NY where he worked from 1946-1989. He was in the US Navy were he proudly served in both theaters of operation during World War II from 1944-46 on the U.S.S. George W. Ingram destroyer escort. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Marie Girlando Hickey, devoted daughters Suzanne Galvin and Ellen Topar and his loving granddaughters Christina Fraser Galvin, Joan Marie Spampinato and Rosemary Ellen Topar.
