Anthony (Tony) Butera passed away on April 15, 2015. Born and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey, he graduated from Columbia High School in 1974. Tony lived with his wife and children in Chatham Township for 24 years. He was a firefighter for the Maplewood Fire Department during that time, retiring in 2003. He also was the sole proprietor of Butera Construction for over 30 years. A lifelong avid fisherman and boater he moved to Islamorada, Florida in 2012 to enjoy these passions. He was the loving husband of Lisa, and father of Christina and Nicholas. He is also survived by his mother, Florence Butera of Toms River, NJ, his brother Edward and his daughter, of Boca Raton, Fl., and his sister, Maryellen Just and her husband and daughter, of Millburn, NJ. His life will be celebrated and remembered at Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home in Maplewood on September 22, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Friends and family are welcome to visit with Tony's family on that day.
