Lois Gilman Frank, 91, of Short Hills, N.J., died on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at King James Nursing Home, Chatham, N.J.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Saturday, June 2, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in The Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham. Born in Stoughton, Wis., Lois resided in Short Hills for 60 years. She graduated from University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in education. A homemaker, Lois was a member of Wyoming Presbyterian Church, Millburn, N.J., for many years and more recently she had been worshipping at the Long Hill Chapel in Chatham.
Mrs. Frank was a direct descendant, on her father's side, of Edward Fuller, who came to North America on the Mayflower with his family, including his son, Samuel, who was later married by Captain Miles Standish, magistrate, to Jane Lothrop, another Mayflower passenger.
Lois met her future husband, Ralph L. Frank, a special agent in the F.B.I., while working as an administrator in the organization's field office in Baltimore, Md.
Mrs. Frank was the beloved wife of the late Ralph L. Frank; devoted mother of Ralph L. Frank Jr. and the late Kristi Frank Holzer, and loving grandmother of Mary, Grace, and James Holzer.
