To Peg and Family. I've known Hugh for over 30 years. Always a number one good cop. I remember when he was Captain Morris aide. We had many a good time At Martino's on Friday nights, but what I'll always remember about Hughie was him standing next to me singing the Solder's Song along with Jimmy Mooney. He was a fine Irishman and May God Rest his Soul.

He will be missed. He was a big part of our childhood and of course as we grew older.
He is truly the "man of steel."

Mac was a wonderful person and a wonderful neighbor and friend. Mac and Peg were the first neighbors to welcome us when we moved to the Summer Hill community, and have become like family to us. Mac was always ready to help out the next person in whatever way he could. He was a loving husband, a great friend, and a good Irishman.
Be blessed with the Peace of God, dear friend. You will be missed so very much.

I was always proud of my Father though it wasn't always easy being his daughter. His expectations of his children was high but when I became a Mother I began to understand. He wanted us to have a good life and showed us through his actions that working hard and doing your best at whatever you did was the only way to succeed. My daughter loved going to Grandpa and Grandma's because he always made her favorite foods. She would tell me when we would have disagreements that I am too strict and just like my Father. Well, that is the greatest compliment she can give me. I also am so happy he had "Pretty" for 36 years. If he could have he would have taken her to a deserted island so he could have had her all to himself. My last memory of him was puckering up his lips to kiss her goodnight.Thank you Dad for everything and you will never be gone just missed. Love Always,Kathy

So sorry Peg on the loss of your gentle giant. Had known "Mac" since I came on the P.D. I used to also work P.T. at Ivy Hill and remember you and your children. The daughter (2nd one) who was good for walking your dog used call me "muzzle mouth". My sincere sympathy to all the family's, he is now with young Hugh, may he R.I.P.
