He was so proud of his family and loved you all with his heart and soul from when we knew him. He has left you all with such great memory of him that you all should be very proud to call him, husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, even a friend. John was one of my walking buddies at Execor and Cardio Care. He was a very special person. He spoke kindly and often of his wife and family. I could tell from walking with him that his family was uppermost in his life. Especially you, Eileen. I feel as I know you from listening to John talk.
Blessings,
Charlotte Luer

Grandpa I, You treated me like one of your own grandchildren from the moment I met you. You were a good man, and loved by everyone who met you. I am honored to say that I knew you the last 7 years. I will never forget all the laughs, and love that we shared. I will think of you always, and miss you. Love your "grand daughter", Christina

To affect the lives of so many, young and old, all the while smiling and laughing through the tough times as well as the good ones is a skill not mastered by many - you did it. You were one of the hardest working people I ever met, but chose to use the fruits of that labor to bring joy to so many people, family and friends. You are an inspiration and so shall you remain to me and so many others. RIP Uncle Johnny, I love you and all that you stood for.

Dear Debbie,
I felt great sadness when I heard of the passing of your dad, having been through the same loss myself many years ago. After reading the obituary online, I know you must be very proud of all the good he did for so many people in his lifetime.
I would like to share an old Irish prayer that holds a special place in my heart:
Deep Peace Of The Running Waves To You...Deep Peace Of The Flowing Air To You...Deep Peace Of The Smiling Stars To You...Deep Peace Of The Quiet Earth To You...Deep Peace Of The Watching Shepherds To You...Deep Peace Of The Son Of Peace To You.
In the tough times ahead, may you and your family find peace.
It will be my great honor to make a gift in memory of your dad to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
Blessings on you and your family. Please let me know if I can help in any way.
Love, JoAnne Tiene
