Obituary of Nancy V. D'Amico

Nancy Richards D'Amico, 63, died on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, in Wall Township, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., today at 10:30 a.m. Interment is private. Arrangements are by the Preston Funeral Home, South Orange. Nancy was born in Jersey City, N.J., and lived in Fallsington, Pa., for many years before moving to Belmar, N.J. She lost her long battle with a serious illness, during which she showed tremendous physical and mental strength. Throughout her lifetime, Nancy was strong-willed, independent, and guided by her deep Catholic faith. She was especially supportive towards charitable and philanthropic organizations that care for orphans and children displaced by war or regional conflict. Nancy pursued her compassion for animals by continuously showing her support towards injured or abandoned animals. She was the beloved daughter of Anthony Richards and the late Margaret Dunnebacke Richards; devoted sister of Carol Richards and the late James Richards; loving aunt of Vincent Richards and Katherine Botsford, and dear niece of Nora O'Malley, Frank and Penny Dunnebacke.
