Obituary of Edward M. Feeley

Edward M. Feeley, 90, of Kiawah Island, S.C., formerly of South Orange, N.J., passed away on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Monday, Nov. 4, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Born in Orange, N.J., Mr. Feeley lived in South Orange before moving to South Carolina in 2007. He was the owner and president of Pro Power Corp., Allamuchy, N.J., from 1970 until retiring in 2004. Together with his wife, he started the Pro Power Corp. in 1970, providing sales representation of industrial equipment to the process and power industries in Metropolian New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Pro Power was continuously operated through 2004. Mr. Feeley received a bachelor of industrial engineering degree in 1948 from Ohio State University. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served 17-1/2 months in the infantry in Europe, and received the American Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the Governor's Club in Kiawah Island, S.C., and a former member of the Panther Valley Country Club in Allamuchy and the Essex County Country Club in West Orange, N.J. He was the beloved husband of Lois Honeyman Feeley and the late Grace Conklin Feeley; devoted father of Mary Carnahan (Glenn), Louise Tranquili (Rick), Matthew Feeley (Susan), Mark Feeley (Susan), Julie Feeley, Catherine Stewart (Glenn), Jeanne Feeley (Mark Castle), Margaret Bauer, Edward Feeley, Jr. (Carrie Ann), Evelyn Self (Randall), Robert Feeley (Erin), Carrie Scalici (Ronald), and the late Anne Feeley (Jonathan Zimmerman); he is also survived by 33 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
