Frederick J. Horenburg, 87, of Basking Ridge, N.J., formerly of South Orange, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, in the Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains, N.J.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, N.J., on Monday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. Interment is at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Horenburg lived in South Orange, N.J., for 10 years before moving to Basking Ridge 19 years ago. He was a bus operator for MABSTOA in New York City from 1958 until his retirement in 1988. Mr. Horenburg served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, from 1943 to 1946. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann Mitchell Horenburg; devoted father of Frederick C. and Michael D. Horenburg, Sue Anne Friggle, and Ann Mary Feig; dear brother of Evelyn Walderman, and loving grandfather of David, Samantha, Douglas, Michael A., Nicole, and Michael D.
