Alfred J. Kucinski, 90, of Maplewood, N.J., died at home on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Wednesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. Interment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, N.J. Born in Trenton, N.J., Mr. Kucinski was a resident of Maplewood for 67 years. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army Air Force in the European theatre during World War II, from 1942 to 1946. Alfred retired as the warehouse manager for Crum & Forster in Morristown, N.J., and also worked at Fisher Baking Company in Newark, N.J., and Peter Wendell & Sons, Irvington, N.J. He enjoyed stamp collecting, radio-controlled airplanes, and being a ham radio operator at WB2FWM. He was member of the Maplewood VFW, and the North Jersey Rose Society, where he was president for several years.
Alfred was the beloved husband for 68 years to Blanche Ulicny Kucinski; devoted father of Linda Barnes and her husband, Gordon, Susan Langan and her husband, Russell; loving grandfather of Christopher Barnes and his wife, Taryn, Jennifer Taylor and her husband, Adam; great grandfather of Cooper Barnes; dear brother of Alice Kelly, Gloria Cooper and Bernard Kucinski.
