Maurya, You may not remember me, as it has been years since we met. I worked with Joel at Heidi Ettinger's studio for some years in the early/mid 90's. I just read about Joel in the 829 newsletter (living in Portland now, I am largely out of the loop). I was shocked and saddened at this news. Although we lost touch after I left NY, Joel was one of the people that made working there so enjoyable. He was so smart, funny, and kind. I admired the work that you two were doing, and how you managed your young family. I am sorry that I can't do more than send this note, and my heartfelt condolences to you and your and your family.
