Karen,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I kinow how you are feeling but the extreme sadness will pass in time and you will begin to remember the good times. You will laugh and cry and giggle to yourself. But first you must cry. just do it do not try and hold it back or be strong for anyone. You will begin to feel a little better each day and if your friends ask you to be with them force yourself to go It will make you feel better and it will help you to heal. Also when you are able to function and feel a little better their is a barevement class in St barnabus Hosp it is very good I went and it did me a world of good. Dear Karen,
We are all so sorry about Mike's passing. We were so blessed to be able to have that one wonderful day at Barbara and Bill's home last week. None of us imagined he would be gone so quickly.
Michael built our beautiful deck in our back yard in Cranford, and I've often mentioned that it is one thing I wish I was able to bring with me to AZ. He was really and truly a "Master Carpenter." The first time I met him, he was about 8 years old and I was in High School. Peter and I took him to Seaside Heights, and it was the first time he'd been to the shore! I can still close my eyes and see the joy on his face as he saw the ocean for the first time. He was just a little kid exhibiting sheer exhilaration, eyes bright, smile from ear to ear. Often wondered if he remembered that day like I did.
God bless you and keep you as you make this huge adjustment of life without Michael. You are in my thoughts and prayers today and always.

I only spent a little time with Mike over the years, but in talking with him, I knew he was a kind and gentle soul.
