Elizabeth R. Bandekow Booth, 97, of Short Hills, N.J., passed away at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J., on May 24, 2018. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Wyoming Presbyterian Church, 432 Wyoming Ave., Millburn, N.J., on Wednesday, May 30, at 11 a.m. Interment is at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, N.J. Arrangements are by The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home of Maplewood, N.J. Elizabeth was born in Detroit, Mich., and lived in Short Hills for the past 30 years. She also spent her winters in Vero Beach, Fla., for over 30 years. Elizabeth graduated from Syracuse University in 1942 with a B.A. in home economics. She was also president of Tri Delta Sorority while at Syracuse University. Elizabeth worked as administrative assistant at Short Hills Country Day School from 1961 to 1974, which then merged with Pingry School, where she worked as an assistant guidance counselor from 1974 to 1988. She was predeceased by her husbands, Richard Justus Bandekow and Clifford C. Booth, and is survived by her children, Richard J.R. Bandekow (Linda) and Leigh A.R. Bandekow (Sharon); stepchildren, Nannette Gagliostro (Michael) and Norman Booth (Gail); grandchildren, Jenifer L., Richard J., David J., Timothy L., Daniel K. Bandekow, and Katherine Montgomery, and great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Juliette Bandekow and Xander Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wyoming Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
