Obituary of Joseph F Murray

Joseph F. Murray, 86, of Springfield, N.J., formerly of Newark, N.J., passed away on April 20, 2017, at CareOne, Livingston, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, N.J., on Friday, April 28, at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Joseph was born in Bronx, N.Y. He received a bachelor's degree in sacred theology from Maryknoll Seminary. He was a former missionary priest with the Maryknoll Order, and was stationed in Peru for seven yesrs. He retired from the New York State Department of Labor, where he worked from 1970 to 2010. Joseph was an avid collector of stamps, currency, and coins from countries all over the world. He was the beloved husband of Angela Larico Murray; devoted father of William P. Murray; dear brother of the late Patricia Londa; and loving grandfather of Tara, Jessica, and Amber. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to American Cancer Society , P.O.
