Obituary of Ronald R. Pierce Sr.

Ronald R. Pierce Sr. Mass is Friday for South Orange father and grandfather Ronald R. Pierce Sr., 74, of South Orange, N.J., passed away on July 24, 2017, at St. Barnabas Hospital, Livingston, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church on Friday, July 28 at 10:30 a.m. Interment is private. Born in Orange, N.J., Ronald resided in South Orange for 40 years. He was an instrumentational engineer at Wyeth Pharmaceutical in Pearl River, N.Y., from 1993 to 2006, before retiring. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret A. Gutknecht Pierce; devoted father of Valerie Pierce Thayer Ph.D. and her husband, Michael, Ronald R. Pierce Jr., Daniel J. Pierce and his wife, Sophia, and Allen J. Pierce; loving grandfather of Meredith Thayer, Kinsley and Kailitha Pierce, and dear brother of Richard R. and Danna Pierce.
