Armand R. LaRocca, 91, of Maplewood, N.J., passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at home.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is private. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Armand was born in Union City, N.J., and resided in Maplewood for 38 years.
He received a B.S. in engineering from the University of Houston and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, from 1943 to 1946.
Armand attended Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange and was a maintenance engineer for Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery, Newark, N.J., from 1975 until he retired in 1985. He also worked for many years with General Foods Corp. in Hoboken, N.J., and New York State.
Armand was the beloved husband for 68 years to Clara Parciak LaRocca; devoted father of Margaret Miller and Karen Jones; he is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
